Our annual Bring America Back to Life Ad and Billboard Campaign is scheduled for late this Summer throughout the Fall. Ads and billboards proclaiming a respect for life around Lorain County are planned starting in August and running through to the election in November.
For this Campaign to be successful, we need your help!
Why we do the Ad and Billboard Campaign?
As many of you know, in 2023, we ran our Ad and Billboard Campaign in June to commemorate the first anniversary of the June 24, 2022 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Association. The Dobbs decision returned the authority to regulate or prohibit abortion to the “people and their elected representatives.”
Tragically, in November of 2023, 57% of Ohioans used that authority to vote in favor of Issue 1, which enshrines unlimited abortion in the Ohio Constitution. Issue 1 contained no implementing legislation, and so is being used by pro-abortionists to bring a number of lawsuits in order to dismantle all protections for preborn children in Ohio. So far, Issue 1 has been used to overturn Ohio’s Heartbeat protection law, and lawsuits have been filed to remove informed consent for women seeking abortions, and also to remove basic safety and cleanliness requirements for abortion facilities. We will undoubtedly see lawsuits brought to strike down any abortion restrictions even on late-term abortions.
Post Issue 1 polling indicates that most Ohioans didn’t vote for Issue 1 because they wanted unlimited abortion. Rather, they voted for moral relativism and women’s autonomy. That is, Ohioans saw women being able to choose abortion as superior to a preborn child’s right to not be murdered.
The challenge we face, then, is to redirect Ohio in a Pro-Life direction by convincing people of the humanity of preborn children and the inhumanity of abortion. We must re-humanize the de-humanized.
This is the goal of our Ad and Billboard Campaign. We hope to return preborn children (and not “choice”) to being central to the abortion debate. In post-Issue 1 Ohio, this is essential in order to work toward making abortion illegal and unthinkable.
To help bring about a culture of life and love — where every life is protected — Lorain County Right to Life will again conduct an Ad and Billboard Campaign through local churches and other organizations, asking signees to publicly proclaim their Pro-Life stand.
It is incumbent upon all of us to pray and to work for the day when EVERY abortion is illegal, EVERY abortion is unthinkable, and when the sanctity and dignity of EVERY human life is protected and respected.
What is the Ad and Billboard Campaign?
Through ads in newspapers and their websites, through posts on social media, through website search results, and with billboards posted throughout Lorain County, we hope to challenge the people of Lorain County to recognize the sanctity, dignity, and worth of all human lives, especially including the lives of those precious preborn children who are threatened by abortion. As mentioned above, ads and billboards are planned starting in August and running through to the election in November.
An online version of the print ad (graphics and names) will appear on our website (click here to see the 2023 online ad). Sponsors’ names will again be prominently displayed on our website in order to acknowledge the extreme importance of our sponsors. All print and online ads will have a link to the sponsor names on our website.

The sign-up process for the Campaign will be similar to past years. Starting in 2021 when many churches and organizations were not meeting as they normally would, we introduced additional materials and suggestions on how to conduct the Campaign on-line or by mail. Please see below for details.

Lorain County Right to Life was chartered in 1977 to counteract the evil that had been initiated by the U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions in January of 1973 that forced every state in the U.S. to decriminalize abortion on demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy. Since that time, Lorain County Right to Life has been a steadfast proponent of the protection of all human life from conception to natural death. Join us in defending life!
